What is ART?

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a brief, evidence-based psychotherapy that uses eye movements and visualization to rapidly replace distressing memories with positive images, often resolving symptoms in just a few sessions.
ART is a structured form of psychotherapy designed to help individuals process and resolve traumatic or distressing experiences quickly. It combines techniques from Gestalt therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and guided imagery, enhanced with bilateral eye movements to facilitate rapid changes in how memories are stored in the brain . Unlike traditional talk therapy, ART is procedural and client-driven, meaning clients do not need to discuss the details of their trauma if they prefer.
